Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions for MyLife MyCare

My Life My Care provides an introductory and facilitation service, helping individuals and families connect with experienced, self-employed careworkers who can deliver care and support in their own homes.

We are not a care provider and do not employ careworkers. Instead, we introduce suitable, independent careworkers and support both parties through the setup of an arrangement that works for everyone.

Our Role

  • We introduce self-employed careworkers to clients seeking care and support
  • We carry out thorough checks, including identity verification, right to work, DBS checks, references, and insurance
  • We support the introduction process and help facilitate payments once care arrangements are agreed

We do not:

  • provide regulated personal care
  • create or manage care plans
  • supervise or direct the careworker
  • employ careworkers

Care Arrangements

All care and support services are provided directly by the careworker under a separate agreement between you and them. You remain responsible for agreeing:

  • care duties and expectations
  • pay rates and expenses
  • notice and cancellation terms
  • day-to-day direction and supervision

Fees & Payments

Once a successful introduction has been confirmed and care dates are agreed, we issue one clear, consolidated invoice, which may include:

  • the careworker’s agreed pay
  • agreed expenses
  • our introduction or engagement fees including VAT.

VAT is charged only on our services, as we act as an introducer and agent, not the care provider.

Important Terms

  • Careworkers are self-employed, not employed by My Life My Care
  • If you choose to engage a careworker directly outside our service within 14 weeks of introduction, a Permanent Engagement Fee applies
  • You can cancel our services within 14 days, or later with 4 weeks’ notice

Transparency & Peace of Mind

Our Terms of Business are designed to be clear, fair, and transparent, so you always understand:

  • who provides the care
  • what you are paying for
  • how responsibilities are shared

Please note, this is a summary of our Key terms, and we will provide a full copy of the T&C’s once care is agreed. We encourage all clients to read our full Terms of Business carefully and to ask us if anything is unclear, we’re always happy to help.
